uTrack Software to sponsor Transaid’s London to Paris Cycle Challenge

As forty riders prepare to take on Transaid’s Silver Jubilee London to Paris cycle challenge this September 21st – 25th, we are delighted to announce uTrack Software as the headline sponsor of the event.

uTrack was founded in 2010 on a mission to make public transport amazing. Providing an industry leading software platform that powers a suite of solutions for operations, customer service, planning and scheduling, engineering, managers and drivers, changing the experience for passengers, parents, schools, local authorities, and airports across Europe, and North America.

The teams at uTrack are based in Dublin, Ireland and Birmingham, and its technology helps clients carry over two billion passengers annually on their services across school buses, urban city buses, rail, and intercity coaches.

Eamonn Hughes, uTrack’s Chief Executive said: “uTrack have participated and sponsored various Transaid events in the past and seeing the significant milestone of 25 years we felt it was an ideal opportunity to reengage with a worthy cause. Our business has grown significantly since our CEO participated in the London to Brussels Cycle Challenge in 2014 and we’re keen to raise awareness among our team, clients, families and friends of how a transport related charity such as Transaid is positively impacting the world.”

The challenge will see riders travel 187-miles over three days in the saddle, starting at London’s Greenwich Observatory and finishing at the Eiffel Tower, in the French capital.

Funds raised will be used to support Transaid’s life-saving work in sub-Saharan Africa, where we are focused on improving road safety and access to healthcare for rural communities.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Transaid’s Head of Fundraising, Florence Bearman said: “We are delighted that uTrack has decided to support our 25th Anniversary cycle challenge by pledging to be the headline sponsor. After a short break, it is brilliant to have uTrack back involved with our cycle challenges.

“This commitment of funds will ensure that we can truly make it a challenge to remember. It also means that even more of the funds raised will go directly to our programmes in sub-Saharan Africa.”

Although all spaces on this challenge have now been filled, Transaid still has some sponsorship packages available, for more information please contact Anna Giavedoni (anna@transaid.org).
