The third annual golf fundraiser hosted by Brigade Electronics took place last Friday 19 June, raising £17,650 for Transaid.

Participants from 18 companies across the transport and logistics sector and beyond came together at The Shire London for a day of networking and fundraising. The event included 18 holes around the spectacular Seve Ballesteros-designed course, followed by a barbeque and charity raffle, with all proceeds supporting Transaid’s road safety and access to healthcare projects across sub-Saharan Africa.

Peter Squire, Managing Director for Brigade Electronics (UK), says: “It was fantastic to see such a strong line-up of teams for this year’s golf day, with everyone turning out to support a cause that is so important to us. Events like this raise vital funds for an incredible charity, plus they also strengthen the sense of community across our industry.”

Maddy Matheson, Head of Fundraising for Transaid, says: “We are so grateful to Brigade Electronics for hosting another brilliant golf day. It has been amazing to see this event grow year-on-year, with the total funds raised across the three golf days now topping £47,000!”

Companies taking part included Asset Alliance Group, AVA, Barclays, Bartec Municipal Technologies, Brigade Electronics, Dawsongroup, Elite Consultancy Network, Geotab, GXO, IVECO, Kalkwarf Architects, PY Travel, StaffCo, The RHA, Michelin, StaffCo, Staffline Recruitment, and WTWCO.

Brigade Electronics has been a Transaid corporate partner since 2023, after making an initial three-year commitment to support the industry’s chosen charity. This year the team has renewed its commitment, with Group Marketing and Communications Manager Akvile Willmore travelling to Zambia on a self-funded trip in May, to gain a first-hand insight into the projects Brigade’s fundraising efforts support.
