Running events
You can show your support for Transaid by taking part in a range of individual and group challenge events, through our partner Run for Charity. Events cover a wide range of abilities, from family fun runs and mud runs, to local 10ks, marathons and triathlons. We even offer sponsored bungee jump events for those of you wanting to challenge your fear of heights while helping promote our programmes!
Previous challenges that Transaid supporters have completed include: the Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon, the Paris Marathon, and a self-organised 140-mile challenge through Pembrokeshire!

Inflatable runs –
Click here to view all of the inflatable runs around the country available throughout the year. The standard distance is 5k but there are other options such as 2.5k, 10k and 15k.

Tough Mudder events

Beginner – get fit and have fun:
Hampton Court 10ks – 11th May 2025
The Palace 10k is a flat and picturesque course which starts and finishes inside Hampton Court Palace. Running at this historic venue offers not only a perfect opportunity to run a personal best but to visit and run inside one of the UK’s major tourist attractions.
The race starts within the Palace grounds and heads out alongside the Tow Path adjacent to the Thames. Once you reach the end of the Towpath, you shall turn left and enter Home Park for roughly 5k before a sprint finish inside the Palace grounds.

Birmingham 10ks – 22 December 2024, 16 February 2025
Join us for a unique opportunity to run a 10k or Half Marathon around the beautiful Sutton Park, a 2,400 acre National Nature Reserve in Birmingham.
Each mile will be accurately marked out and we have plenty of helpers to keep you quite literally on track and encourage you on your way to the finish. Included in your entry fee is a themed medal, water and post race goodies. Come and enjoy the day with us; we hope to see you there!

Run Tatton 10ks – 14 December 2024, 8 February 2025, 12 April 2025
This fast, undulating, road closed 10k race set at the beautiful Tatton Park in Cheshire is a perfect opportunity to set yourself a personal best over the 10k distance.
The races start, runs around the roads inside and finishes within the parks grounds. This will be a accurately measured and chip timed.

Edinburgh 10k – 24 May 2025
Come and be part of Scotland’s BIGGEST running festival!
This ever-growing festival of running is now a major event in the Scottish sporting calendar. Starting in Edinburgh, the course heads out through East Lothian offering stunning views and an unforgettable running experience.
The marathon route is one of the fastest in the UK making that elusive personal best a distinct possibility!

London 10k – 13th July 2025
Following a sell-out 2023 and 2024 event, don’t miss your chance to be a part of 2025! Enjoy an incredible closed-road route through central London, past some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Big Ben and the London Eye all whilst running for
your favourite charity!

Serious runners – challenge yourself:
Paris Half 9th March 2025 – SOLD OUT (waiting list available)
The Paris Half Marathon is one of the best overseas half marathons for UK runners to take part in! Parisians join forces with other French nationals and four thousand runners from other countries to make this half marathon one of the best international events. It is no wonder over 40 thousand runners participate in this event year on year.

Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon 23rd March 2025
The Palace Half course is very flat but incredibly picturesque. The half marathon starts and finishes inside the courtyard of the historical Hampton Court Palace. This epic event allows you not only to run a half marathon for charity, but it also gives you entry into one of the UK’s best historical attractions.

Wizz Air Milano Marathon 6th April 2025
The Wizz Air Milano Marathon will start and finish in the beautiful setting of Piazza del Duomo.
The 23rd edition of the marathon is a fast and scenic course that runs mostly in the heart of the city, with more than 10.000 runners expected to transform the city into an unforgettable day of celebration on April 6!

London Landmarks Half Marathon 6th April 2025 – SOLD OUT
The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed road, central London run and is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster.
The event is not your average half marathon! From cultural landmarks and heritage to the city’s quirky and hidden secrets, runner get to explore the capital on a route like no other!

Paris Marathon 13th April 2025
The Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is now one of the biggest marathons in the world and perfectly combines a personal challenge with the chance to discover one of the world’s greatest cities.
Race day will see you pound the pavements of the French capital’s most famous avenues and plazas. Starting at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, and finishing with views of Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower to guide you home.

Hackney Half 18th May 2025
A Half Marathon with a difference. Hackney Moves is the highlight of London’s running calendar. This is an unforgettable weekend of movement, sport and entertainment.

Cardiff Half Marathon 5th October 2025
The Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most exciting road races in Europe. It is Wales’ largest mass-participation and multi-charity fundraising event and the second largest half in the UK. Its flat, fast course passes all the city’s most breath-taking scenery and iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Civic Centre and stunning Cardiff Bay.

If you don’t fancy running and are looking for an alternative endeavour, take a look at the bungee jumps we have available all around the country.
We totally understand that running, cycling, sports and other challenges are not for everyone so please do get in touch for other ways to fundraise for us. For example; hosting a bake sale at the finish line of your local 5km Park Run is a great way to raise funds for Transaid programmes!
