A warm welcome to Dawsongroup

We are proud to announce that Dawsongroup plc, a UK owned business specialising in the provision and funding of supply-chain assets across Europe, is the latest company to join our corporate membership scheme.

Dawsongroup joins a growing base of 37 corporate members from across the transport and logistics industry, each committed to making a difference in sub-Saharan Africa by supporting our road safety and access to healthcare programmes.

The new partnership follows Dawsongroup’s launch of its Open Hands initiative – a new corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme which aims to support selected charitable organisations through a combination of employee gift matching, volunteering and donations. We are thrilled to have been selected as one of the initiative’s two lead partner charities – alongside Breast Cancer Now.

Speaking about the new partnership, Freya Dawson, Director of CSR at Dawsongroup, said: “Hearing about Transaid’s life-saving projects, and talking to a wide range of supporters at its showcase event last October, convinced us this was an organisation we wanted to be a part of – and becoming a corporate member was the natural next step.

“Transaid has achieved some amazing results over the years, and it’s going to be fantastic for our business, and our whole team, to be a part of this in the future.”

Transaid CEO Caroline Barber expressed her excitement at the announcement: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Dawsongroup on board as a corporate member. To have been selected as one of their two main partner charities is a wonderful way to kick-off the new decade! Dawsongroup has significant influence in the transport and logistics sector and we are all really excited for what we can achieve together.”
