Refresher Training Modules for HGV driver training
In June 2024, Transaid developed and launched a new training standard in Ghana for drivers of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs). Subsequently, Transaid began the Driving Safety Across Ghana project in August 2024, with the aim of rolling out the newly developed standard nationwide and continuing to build on driver training capabilities. To support this effort, Transaid has developed a Refresher Training Manual, a practical resource for driver trainers and those overseeing driver performance. The manual draws directly from the Ghana HGV Standard and is designed to facilitate effective refresher training. For optimal delivery, users are encouraged to reference the full standard alongside this manual.
