By fundraising for Transaid you will be helping us to invest in the people who make transport work, making a lasting difference to people in poor countries who need better access to transport to get basic healthcare and make a living. Here are a few ideas to start you off.
Auction inspiration
Some of the amazing travel & transport themed items auctioned for us include the chance to name a locomotive, a week’s use of a Jaguar XK and a trip to the Ferrari Factory in Italy, raising up to £7,000 each. What could you or your company auction?
Boss drop
Suggest to your boss that they do a sponsored drop from a plane (with a parachute attached of course!)
Challenge Events
Cycle Kenya in November 2007 with Transaid. Visit the events and appeal page for more details or fundraise for us through one of Classic Tours’ open challenges, including the Inca Trail and the Great Wall of China
Day in the Life Walk
Organised a sponsored walk between key facilities in your local area, eg schools, hospitals, markets, to highlight how difficult daily life is without access to transport
Extra Place for Africa
If you are selling tables for an industry dinner or awards ceremony, then find out more about our Extra Place for Africa scheme, where a virtual extra place is sold and acknowledged at the table with a special place card

Organize a 5-aside football match/tournament for your office or between your depots

You can donate the money you raise by cheque, bank transfer (companies only) or online via Justgiving. For large, single deposits we prefer cheque or bank transfer to avoid paying fees. For sponsored events, UK fundraisers can set up a personal Justgiving fundraising page to allow you to collect money easily and securely online.
