Join our webinar: Kenya National Helmet Wearing Coalition – Phase 3

Motorcycle riders and passengers accounted for more than one-third of all road traffic fatalities in Kenya in 2025, more than any other vehicle. With the total number of registered motorcycles reaching around 2.5 million last year, and an estimated 80% operating daily as for-hire taxis commonly known as boda bodas, the country is facing a concerning year-on increase in preventable deaths and serious injuries.

While correct and consistent helmet use is a proven life-saving intervention, advocacy and enforcement efforts must also extend to the quality of the helmet itself and its ability to provide adequate energy absorption in the event of a crash.

Join our upcoming webinar to learn how, with the support of the FIA Foundation, the third phase of the Kenya National Helmet Wearing Coalition has focused on bridging data gaps and increasing domestic testing capability to strengthen enforcement of both helmet use and compliance with minimum product safety standards.
