Transaid webinar presents results of scaled-up malaria programme – MAM@Scale

Transaid is looking forward to presenting the final results from the MAMaZ Against Malaria at Scale (MAM@Scale) project during our webinar at 13:00 (GMT) on Tuesday 1st February 2022.

The MAM@Scale project supported the roll-out of quality assured pre-referral rectal artesunate suppositories (RAS) in Zambia, a life-saving intervention for the management of severe malaria in young children.

This programme was implemented by a consortium of partners comprising Development Data, DAI Global Health, Disacare, Medicines for Malaria (MMV) and Transaid, all working with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) and the District Health Management Team in Zambia.

The webinar will provide details on how the project was scaled-up from a small single-district pilot in 2017 to a much larger-scale initiative that was implemented in ten districts by 2021.

During the event, which will last approximately 1.5 hours, several members of the MAM@Scale team will share results from the initiative, as well as experiences and lessons learned along the way. There will also be an opportunity to hear the plans for further national scale-up within Zambia.

Transaid will be answering any questions participants may have in a Q&A session at the end.
