Transaid attends CILT Conference & Dinner

Transaid attended the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) & IOM Annual Conference and Dinner last Thursday, which was held at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire. Transaid was kindly invited by CILT – one of the charity’s founding members- to be the beneficiary charity for the evening, as well as to run as stand throughout the conference.

The conference, entitled ‘Tomorrow’s Supply Chain: Are you Ready?’ brought together professionals at the forefront of logistics and operations management & transport, with delegates benefiting from a wide variety of experts’ knowledge and experience. At the dinner held later that evening, guests listened to speeches from the Chairman of CILT Professor Richard Wilding and UK Traffic Commissioner Beverley Bell, followed by an introduction to Transaid from CEO Gary Forster. The raffle raised £1,172 with a further £532 raised through other fundraising activities! This is a fantastic total and we really cannot thank the guests enough for their generous support. Transaid’s would also like to extend its sincere thanks to CILT for their continued support and for hosting Transaid as beneficiary charity for this year’s Conference & Dinner.
