The 2025 Big Logistics Diversity Challenge raises more than £1,200 for Transaid

On 26 June 2025, companies representing the UK’s logistics and transport industry came together at Newark Showground to participate in The Big Logistics Diversity Challenge, raising more than £1,200 for Transaid’s programmes.

First held in 2019, The Big Logistics Diversity Challenge demonstrates the passion, support, and enthusiasm companies have for improving equality, diversity, and inclusion, as well as the business benefits attained by establishing a diverse workforce. Growing by a staggering 40% since its launch, The Big Logistics Diversity Challenge has become a staple in the industry’s event calendar, with many key industry stakeholders supporting it year-on-year.

Delivered by Nimble Media, The Big Logistics Challenge is the only team-based logistics event that showcases the diversity the UK logistics industry seeks to achieve. The challenges are designed to promote the message that diverse teams work better together, with companies taking part in a series of physical, mental and skill-based sessions.

Two of the event’s participants, representing XPO Logistics, opened the event. Operational Trainer Chloe Braybrook shared her experience as a woman working in logistics and her work with ‘Hormonal Worker’, a group that encourages companies to understand and accommodate the hormonal impact of women in different job roles (particularly those that involve physical work).

Tommy Patrick, Transport Administrator and returning participant, spoke about the impact that working for an inclusive employer has had on his career and personal life, allowing him to gain independence. Tommy joined XPO through DS Workfit, and their partnership with the Down Syndrome Association.

Transaid representatives Anna Giavedoni and Kohei Ohno hosted the ‘Toxic Jigsaw’ challenge, which tested participants’ communication skills. ‘J&J Juggernauts’ of the J&J Global Fulfilment won the challenge.

We would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the team at Nimble Media for their continued support for Transaid, and to all the participants for their kind generosity.
