The Motor Transport Awards 2024 raise £19,000 for Transaid
On 4th September, Transaid was delighted to once again be chosen as the beneficiary charity of the Motor Transport Awards, one of the biggest events in the transport and logistics calendar.
The awards took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, hosting more than 1,200 people to celebrate the achievements of individuals and operators in the road freight industry. Celebrity hosts included Rory Bremner, presenter Rachel Riley, and comedian Alan Carr.
Thanks to the generosity of the Motor Transport team, our prize donors, and attendees, this year’s event raised an incredible £19,000.
During the night, Transaid’s Chief Executive, Caroline Barber was invited to share updates about Transaid’s road safety and access to healthcare programmes, and encouraged guests to participate in the silent auction and casino fundraising game.

Following dinner and the awards presentation, guests took to the charity casino, sponsored by Palletline, who kindly provided a Fortnum & Mason Celebration Hamper and Champagne Pairing Hamper for the two people who cashed in the largest amount of chips at the end of the night.
Transaid would like to congratulate all the award nominees and winners of the evening – a full list can be found here.
We are immensely grateful to our corporate supporters who donated prizes, our incredible volunteers who supported our team throughout the night, and to everyone who donated during the evening.
