Seahorse celebrates Christmas with Transaid
Transaid would like to extend a huge thank you to The Seahorse Club for raising an incredible £530, via their sponsored Virtual Christmas Quiz and raffle event.
The amount raised is enough to fund a bicycle ambulance, used as part of the MAM at Scale programme to connect rural Zambian communities to health facilities.
In normal years December would have been host to The Seahorse Club’s annual journalism awards, and staff Christmas Party. Although this was not possible in 2020, The Seahorse Club still managed to pull off a fantastic event, attended by our very own CEO Caroline Barber.
Thank you Ian Matheson, Ebele Nwakude and the rest of The Seahorse Club Committee for all your hard work, and for supporting Transaid in these difficult times.
Finally, congratulations to the winning team, Tiers 4 Fears (Robert Jervis, Laura Cole, Sara Mikunda and Manjit Sandhu from Clarion Events), and thank you to those who sponsored the raffle prizes (AAL Shipping; the British International Freight Association; Image Line; and Meantime Communications).
Let’s hope this December The Seahorse Club’s annual journalism awards will be back in full swing!
