More than £13,000 raised at Brigade Electronics’ inaugural Golf Day

Brigade Electronics hosted a golf day in aid of Transaid on 14th June, bringing together teams from across the transport and logistics industry to raise vital funds for our road safety and access to healthcare programmes in sub-Saharan Africa.

16 teams from 13 companies took to the course at The Shire, an esteemed golf club located in north London, with the GXO team achieving victory by scoring the highest at the end of the course. Other participating teams included A&M Installation, Autac, AVA, Brigade Electronics UK, Brigade Electronics Group, Dawsongroup, Dispatchtrack, Michelin, PY Travel, StaffCo, Warehouse-Space, Wincanton, and WTWCO.

The day featured 18 holes of golf with competitions throughout, including a putting challenge, longest drive, nearest the pin, and beat the pro. Following the conclusion of play, attendees participated in various activities including heads and tails and an auction.

Transaid’s Head of Fundraising, Maddy Matheson says: “We are incredibly grateful to the whole Brigade team for the level of effort put into making this inaugural golf event such a great success. We would also like to thank all of the companies for their support in registering a team and participating on the day.

“The funds raised will contribute significantly to furthering our mission to transform lives through improving road safety and access to healthcare, a mission that aligns very closely to that of Brigade.”

Peter Squire, Managing Director at Brigade, says: “Brigade extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended our inaugural golf day, with all funds raised going to support Transaid. The tremendous turnout made the event a resounding success. We are also deeply grateful to The Shire London Golf Club for providing such a stunning setting.

“The funds raised will play a crucial role in advancing Transaid’s mission to transform lives through safe, available, and sustainable transport. We plan to make this an annual event, with the aim of growing it each year. Thank you all for your generous support.”

Transaid is incredibly grateful to Brigade Electronics for hosting such a fantastic day and to all the attendees for their generosity.
