Logistics UK’s Logistics Awards raise £6,200 for Transaid

Transaid was delighted to attend Logistics UK’s Annual Awards for 2025 at the prestigious Park Plaza in London last week, where the event raised more than £6,200 through a raffle and auction.

The Awards are a standout date in the industry calendar, celebrating the businesses and individuals making exceptional contributions to the logistics sector and the wider economy over the past year. It was an inspiring evening, bringing together leaders from across freight, transport, supply chain and logistics to recognise innovation, resilience and outstanding service in 2025.

Sharing the impact of safe, reliable transport in rural communities

Transaid was proud to highlight how industry support is helping to deliver safe, available, and sustainable transport solutions where they are needed most.

Transaid’s Chief Executive Caroline Barber shared Owen’s story with attendees to highlight the impact of their support. Owen and his family live in rural Zambia, and when he developed symptoms of severe malaria, his parents called for the community bicycle ambulance to take him quickly to the nearest health facility. Thanks to the bicycle ambulance and rider, Owen received treatment in time and made a full recovery.

Thank you to prize donors and supporters

Transaid would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all organisations and individuals who helped make the fundraising such a success.

Special thanks go to Backhouse Jones, Dexory, DP World, Miniclipper Logistics and PF Whitehead for their amazing raffle prize donations, and to Michelin, The Malcolm Group and Transaid Ambassadors for their generous auction prize contributions. Every prize helped generate vital funds to support Transaid’s programmes.

We are also hugely grateful to Logistics UK for their ongoing support and for hosting Transaid as beneficiary charity of the Awards once again. Their commitment alongside the generosity of the logistics community enables Transaid to continue transforming lives.

Finally, Transaid would like to congratulate our corporate partners who were recognised on the night: GXO, winner of Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year; DP World, winner of Rail Freight Business of the Year; and Microlise, which was highly commended in the Logistics Technology Provider of the Year category.

Congratulations to all award winners and shortlisted organisations for their fantastic achievements in 2025. A full list can be found here.
