The health and wellbeing of professional drivers are fundamental to safer roads. Long hours, disrupted sleep, and limited access to healthcare place drivers at higher risk of conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and eye problems. During a recent initiative delivering road safety and health messaging at truck driver rest stops in Kenya, Transaid identified widespread vision concerns and quickly mobilised an intervention to provide screenings and corrective glasses.

This webinar will present how the project met its original objectives, but also why road safety organisations must embed mechanisms that enable them to listen and respond to the evolving challenges and needs of drivers and roadside communities.
