Celebrating Women in Logistics
The Transaid team was delighted to attend the awards and celebrate the achievements of women working in the transport and logistics industry at the annual Women in Logistics Conference and Ball, which was held in St Johns hotel in Solihull. The organisation’s awards and charity ball also raise funds and awareness for Transaid and more than £1,115 was donated on the day.
Transaid CEO Gary Forster gave a presentation in the evening on Transaid’s latest developments, highlighting how funds raised thanks to the support of the WIL in last years helped the organisation to enable more women from remote communities to reach healthcare.
Guests watched the organisation’s newest video about a bicycle ambulance rider in Madagascar – one of the transport solutions implemented by Transaid – who dedicated his life to supporting his community and ensuring they access vital services. Transaid is very grateful to all those who generously supported the raffle and companies that donated the prizes.
