BIFA lunch raises £1,590!
Transaid were invited to be the beneficiary charity at the British International Freight Association (BIFA) Freight Service Awards last Thursday, where individuals and organisations received awards for being deemed ‘best in the industry’ by BIFA in a range of categories.
The Awards Lunch took place in the Porter Tun of The Brewery on Chiswell Street, London. Sally ‘Traffic’ Boazman, BBC Radio 2 Travel Presenter, hosted the event and after lunch guests generously donated £1,590 towards Transaid’s ongoing transport programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa.
A huge thank you goes to Robert Keen and everyone at BIFA for kindly hosting Transaid at the Awards, and to all the guests for their support. Find out more about BIFA and the Freight Service Awards here: http://www.bifa.org/winners/winners-2015
