Almost £7,000 raised for Transaid at the 2025 Microlise VIP Dinner and Transport Conference

Transaid was delighted to attend the 2025 Microlise VIP Dinner and Transport Conference, which raised £6,902 for Transaid’s programmes through a raffle, silent auction, and coffee stand.
On 17th March, a VIP gala dinner attracted 400 attendees to the Driver of the Year Awards, which celebrate the most talented drivers working in the UK transport industry and acknowledge their vital work.
Transaid Chief Executive Caroline Barber was invited to speak and updated guests on Transaid’s long standing, and latest programmes. Sharing Josephine and Esther’s story from Serenje District, Zambia, Caroline said: “There are women and children who are alive today because they had access to a bicycle ambulance – thanks to the funds you help us raise.”
Caroline also highlighted Transaid’s unique partnership with Microlise, thanking their incredible Cycle Kenya team, and encouraging guests to sign up for the 2025 Transaid Cup, hosted by Microlise and Libra Europe and sponsored by the RHA.
The following day, Transaid was pleased to meet with partners, supporters and friends at the Transport Conference. A stand selling fresh coffee also donated all proceeds to Transaid’s programmes.
We would like to thank Microlise for donating a four-ball at JCB Golf & Country Club to the silent auction, and M6Toll for donating an M6Toll Annual Pass for One Car.
We would also like thank Miniclipper, PallEx, Microlise, the RHA, Ford&Slater, Ournet.energy and Gerry Morton for amazing raffle prize donations.
We are grateful to all of the attendees at the dinner and conference for their generosity, and to Microlise for the continued support of Transaid’s work.
Finally, we would like to congratulate the nominees and winners of the Driver of the Year Awards- you can find a full list of the nominees here.
