Nominations open for the 2025 Victor Simfukwe Award

Victor Simfukwe was a Zambia-based Project Manager with Transaid, supporting projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Victor was committed to reducing the number of deaths on Africa’s roads and improving access to essential services for those most in need.

In 2019, Victor tragically lost his life in a road traffic crash in Zambia. His legacy continues to inspire our work every day. Now in its sixth year, the Victor Simfukwe Award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to furthering Transaid’s mission over the past 12 months.

Tell us who stands out to you and why- we’d love to hear their story. This could be someone involved in one of Transaid’s programmes, an individual who has tirelessly fundraised for Transaid, or a Transaid colleague, for example. Make your nomination by 26 September 2025, and the award will be presented at Transaid’s annual showcase.
