£6065 donated at Transport News Rewards Breakfast

The 22rd anniversary of the Transport News Rewards Breakfast took place in the Banqueting Suite of Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday 6th November. Over 500 people attended the Rewards Breakfast and gave exceptionally generously to raise over £6065 for Transaid, a truly incredible total! Donations in this form are an essential source of unrestricted funding for Transaid’s life-changing work in Africa, allowing projects such as the Professional Driver Training Programme to continue. So far Transaid has trained 6,895 drivers through this programme, as well as 25 driver trainers.

The event was sponsored by Iveco, who also kindly donated prizes to the raffle- thank you Iveco! Transaid also launched its newest video showcasing developments of its road safety initiatives in Tanzania and featured John Heirs from the Malcolm Group- our Scottish corporate member- delivering training in Dar Es Salaam.
