Safe Taxi Charter Survey (CFLI) – survey tool
With support from the Canadian High Commission in South Africa, Transaid launched the Safer Minibus Taxis project, partnering with the South Africa National Taxi Council (SANTACO) which saw the introduction of a Safe Taxi Charter in order to improve safe access to minibus taxis for women through promoting increased reporting of incidents such as sexual and gender-based violence. Nine minibus taxi associations agreed to adopt the charter, and training was provided to more than 30 GBV champions. This survey was developed to get input from minibus taxi commuters as to whether they support the implementation of the charter.
