Tom Giles

Tom is a Consultant in the Transport Planning Team at WSP UK, based in the Chancery Lane UK Headquarters. In his role, Tom leads and contributes to consulting projects focused on transportation in the built environment and beyond. Tom has five years’ experience working on both UK and international based projects, working with a wide variety of public and private sector clients, and is particularly passionate about sustainable development, logistics, and design.  He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transport (MCIHT), and the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (MICRS). Recently, Tom assisted in developing the first draft of Croydon’s new Urban Freight Management Strategy and Action Plan (CUFMSAP). Tom was also involved in investigating the implementation of a Zero Emissions eCargo Delivery Service in the borough, undertaking discussions with hire companies, and producing a tender document. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 complications both projects are currently on hold. In his spare time Tom is a keen runner, and budding triathlete, having recently undertaken the Thames Meander Marathon last November, and has taken part in the JLL Property Triathlon for the past four years. He is hoping to undertake a Half Ironman in 2021 and also holds a place for the London Marathon 2021, after the postponement of the 2020 event.
