Robert Jervis

Robert has served the transport & logistics markets for over 25 years. After graduating in Psychology from The University of Durham, he started his professional career at Times Group Newspapers, where his interests in logistics began. In 1988 he joined Cargo Systems and worked in its exhibition team, running the TOC series of events and also launching a container event called Intermodal. In 1992 Cargo Systems was acquired by IIR Exhibitions. Robert grew with the business eventually becoming Managing Director in 1998 – responsible for all UK events – including IPEX – one of the largest print exhibitions worldwide. Robert has organised events in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Greece, Turkey, South Africa, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Australia, South Korea, USA, Mexico, Panama, Brazil and Chile. In 2000 Robert joined Informa to head up its newly formed maritime & transport exhibition portfolio. This included RoRo and Automotive Logistics and later all the IIR exhibitions – as Informa acquired IIR! Robert left Informa in 2006 to set up his own business and to launch the Multimodal exhibition, which he currently runs. Robert lives in Wimbledon and is married, to Jane; together they have five children and a menagerie of various pets. His hobbies are sailing, rugby, tennis and cooking. Robert is a long-standing supporter of Transaid and became an Ambassador in 2014. He is participated in Transaid’s Cycle Tanzania Challenge in June’15, and plans to cycle with us on our 2018 Cycle Zambia challenge.
