Ian Macaulay

Ian is Innovation & Efficiency Manager for DHL Supply Chain, UK & Ireland and leads a small team within the Transport Division whose responsibility it is to develop and deliver the fleet innovation and efficiency strategy for its UK&I fleet. Identifying and delivering solutions that ensure DHL is able to offer increasingly competitive and safe transport solutions, whilst delivering on its significant commitment to the environment. Ian holds a Design & Technology degree from Coventry University and started his career in logistics as part of Exel’s European Graduate Management programme. He now has over 10 years’ experience within the logistics sector, working for both Exel plc and DHL Supply Chain. Ian has been involved with Transaid since early 2010 where he signed up to participate in their charity cycle ride across Tanzania, raising money for the charity. Since then he has joined the UK Consortium for the Professional Driver Training Project, providing programme support through DHL personal, service and assets. Ian became an ambassador to Transaid in 2014. In his spare time, Ian enjoys mountain biking, rugby union and spending time with his family. He lives in Cambridgeshire and is married with a daughter.
