Claire Capaccioli

Claire's relationship with Transaid began when she worked for Yusen Logistics, a corporate partner of Transaid, when there was an opportunity for someone at the company to work in Zambia on a 3 month secondment.  Sadly, she was not selected but followed her colleague's blog as she wrote weekly updates about her work there, helping and advising at the driver training school in western Lusaka. Claire knows Lusaka fairly well as it is where her husband lived for the first 25 years of his life, so she has been there several times and seen first hand the brilliant work that Transaid do in the areas of road safety and healthcare. Claire worked for Yusen for almost 20 years, and was delighted to be offered a position with BIFA in 2018 as it was her opportunity to give a little back to the forwarding industry which has given her so much. BIFA is another corporate partner of Transaid and she is proud to be an Ambassador for Transaid now too. She is aiming to help to raise the profile even further, encourage people to take on the challenges...and maybe think about tackling one herself one day...
