Charlene Turpin is a Process Improvement Officer at Plan International, a global charity which strives to advance children’s rights and equality for girls. Before joining Plan International, she worked as a Continuous Improvement Manager at Clipper Logistics, a long-term corporate supporter of Transaid. After graduating from Durham University, she spent 5 years working as a legal assistant at top-tier international law firms and the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. Charlene holds a Master’s degree in International Logistics from the University of Northampton and spent time in Ghana researching the impact of poor transport infrastructure on women in rural agri-food value chains. In 2018 she was recognised as Student of the Year by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. She is passionate about social change and is a Trustee for a local charity supporting vulnerable women and girls in East London. She is very excited to join the Ambassador scheme and looks forward to supporting Transaid’s transformational work in global communities.
