Our Impact

Transaid transforms lives through safe, available, and sustainable transport. Founded by Save the Children, The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and its Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, Transaid has over 25 years of experience working with communities, partners, and governments to address transport challenges across sub-Saharan Africa.

  • We enable women, children, and men in rural communities to reach vital services when they are in need. We strengthen transport systems and this can provide access to appropriate forms of transport.

  • We work with governments and partners to train driver trainers. Our driver training programmes make drivers more competent, vehicles safer, and reduce death and injury on the road.
