Sierra Eye is a collection of articles published online relating to Sierra Leone. This article was written about the work that Transaid undertook in Sierra Leone to investigate introducing a Transport Management System. After the decade-long civil war which left over 50,000 dead, Transaid found that rural areas were the worst hit in terms of the difficulty in accessing transport and social services reliant on transport.
