Under the patronage of HRH The Princess Royal, Transaid is a UK based charity that tackles poverty and disadvantage by building local transport skills and knowledge across the developing world. The charity is supported by the European Transport and Logistics industry. Its purpose is to develop skills and knowledge that ensure transport is effective, efficient, low cost and sustainable.
The Role
We are looking for a confident and energetic team member to assist the marketing department, with particular focus on Transaid’s 10th anniversary activities and its 22 member companies.
The role will be to support the Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager in the London office, and help implement a progressive marketing & communications strategy to increase sponsor activities and fundraising through campaigns in the UK and overseas. The successful candidate will have her/his own responsibilities and will have the following skills, interests and aptitudes:
• Excellent telephone manner
• Strong IT skills in Office and Access database
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with sponsors (member companies)
• Ability to organise and be proactive
• Ability to understand how their role is integral to the success of the marketing department
• Commitment to the values, aims and objectives of Transaid.
• Confident personality who works well under pressure
• Have the confidence and ability to represent Transaid during supporter events by implementing activities such as table draws and auctions, and being able to talk knowledgably and enthusiastically about Transaid at our stand at exhibitions and industry events.
We are willing to discuss flexible working hours and to consider this as a part-time post.
Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 negotiable depending on experience
