Suzy brings several years of experience as a programme manager alongside a strong technical specialisation in human factors, infrastructure safety and road safety management. Suzy spent two years as a Human Factors Consultant before joining the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) where she was the International Programme Manager for four years. Suzy joined Transport Research Laboratory over five years ago and is now the Head of International Road Safety at TRL. At TRL she has been involved in a wide variety of projects as technical lead and/or project manager covering many topics including: road safety strategy and action plans, road safety capacity reviews, private company road safety reviews, speed limit reviews, crash data analysis, mobile phone and seatbelt use surveys, benchmarking road safety performance, road safety education, fatigue and drivers hours, vehicle recovery and hard shoulder safety, pedestrian behaviour and use of crossing facilities, self-explaining roads, accident prediction models and recommendations for temporary traffic management. Suzy contributes to the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration and is a member of the International Road Federation road safety group of experts.
